what size fans to get

Recommended Posts

I have atatched a diagram of my room, I am not sure what size intake and exhaust fans to get. will the cheapo cpu fans get enough airflow through? the intake fan really needs to be in the spot where I have inidcated for stealth reasons, ( I would like to put the exhaust there too if possible, but obviously high on the wall)..

Thanks

Puka

A PC fan for a 1.5x1.5m (or 3x3 depending whether half is sealed) room?

Your gonna need a centrifugal fan for the exhaust. 150mm minimum.

You could get away with inlines but when the smell starts and you need a filter it won't pull well through it.

For intake either have no fan (passive intake(s)) or a smaller inline fan will do well. Still something more than a PC fan...

make sure you have a fan inside the room aswell

in the 1.5m area you should be able to get at least 2 in there, consider hanging a fan from one of the sides as well.

Cheapest way to do it spend the dollars on a decent exhaust ~200 then just place a normal fan infront of your intake (on the inside).

Good luck! just keep it on the down low and you'll be sweet ;)

What do you think of this one. It's from a bathroom shop.. thought I might be able to save a few dollars by moving away from hydro shops

200 mm INLINE EXHAUST FAN

200 MM Exhaust Fan

used for Bathroom / Laundry

Fan Capacity: 236 l/s

Volume: 850 CMH

RPM: 2300

60 watts

thanks

Oh and BTW I have two 400wHPS lights. I was planning on using one for veg and clones and one for budding.. But after reading a few posts around here maybe a 400W HPS would be overkill for a mum and her pups. what lights do you all recomend for a mother and babies? CFL's seem popular, but the range is rather huge..??? any advice would be good.. Oh sand should I put my second 400w HPS in the 1.5mx1.5m room? or will that be overkill?? Edited by puka
