I will put an airstone in there now as you said Reverend :),

Do u still grow REV? why did you ditch Autopots if so?

DO you mean let the water in ressie sit so an hour or so before flooding the Autopot Pods

Thanks for reply to Rev thought are appeciated, i seem to be able to grow plants ok but as they get bigger this always seems to happen, i ahve fans on most of light time and off for most of night is this ok? i have x2 inline fans one in one out

The airstone helps get oxygen to the roots and keep the water from stagnating.

Yes he means let the resi sit untouched for an hour or so until the ph has a chance to stabilize. Then check it and adjust it.

Your 30l resi prolly isn't doing you any favours either with the ph, the smaller the volume of water the easier the ph will change.

I'm not growing at present.

Let the nutes sit in the ressie for an hour or so before adjusting.

Leave your fans on 24/7

What brand of nutes are you using?

Also your wasting a lot of nutes filling the tank right up as you need to change every week.

They aren't going to recover over night give it a little time.

I would recommend against using auto-pots, just build your own setup cheaper, custom built to your needs and size and the space you have to play with

the fact that the water goes in at a low ph, and comes out the bottom at a high ph makes me think the auto-pot material or your medium is affecting the ph.

I use hydroton which came pre-set at ph7, but i want to run at 5.5, so the water would creep back up near 7 after going through the medium a few times. Maybe your medium has been pre-washed to a neutral ph7 like that?

You can bring the medium ph down by flooding it a few times with an extra low ph water... say 4, then it kind of balances out half way between that and its current ph7

But how did you get all the way to flowering stage without this ph issue ?

Thnaks for the tips, i will be putting fans on more over night. I have airstones under the pots but i will put one in ressie as well. I like to think i have half an idea how to grow, howver your tips are helpful. My hydro guy said this perilite i brought has neatural PH, i have flushed to day and i just cleaned out trays agian and letting ressie sit. Wanting to keep ph at 5.8 to 6.2 right in perlitle? If all else fails i will be cloning asap and trying coco to grow with.

I have been gorwing them for a while and relaised something was up with slow growth rate, i guess they survied with the good nutirients they where getting but once they gott a little bigger problems are starting i thought id flowing now to try to save, i have been on 12/12 over 2 weeks. should i turn back to 18/6 and try to improve plants?
