Electricity price rise, how much will it affect hydroponic gardens?

For all of those who use power on the grid, has anyone noticed a significant rise in costs?

Instead of increasing numbers would it be worth tapping in before the meter and sucking the juice for free? How easly can power providers realise the power drain?

I often wonder when you see these large house set ups go down, with 100's of plants and god knows how many lights. There was one on the news the other week where the cops had neatly lined up all the lights on the front lawn, fuckin heaps of them. But the electricity theft was not detected until after the bust brought about by the neighbours. And everytime you read about it the theft is detected post bust. And most of these large operations have been going for along time. I'm sure the powers to be would let everyone know if they traced the theft and caused the bust. But I have yet to read about any such event. Please explain?

I just got 16 solar panels installed. 2.8kw. Hope that helps a bit. Such a scam now that u only get 20 something cent per kw. But its better than nothing.

got solar hot water done at the same time..... Will be good to see the first proper bill, as we just got it done in the last month of our quarter.

 

As for commercial Weed it will hafta drive the price up a bit you would think.

I agree its illegal and very risky given only the current rise in price percentage, but what about in 10, 20, 30 years time? will growers be forced outdoors and/or pulling power before the meter?
