Seasol the poor mans Rhizotonic ?

having used both products, i cant see the massive difference in performance, only a massive difference in price. i know rhizotonic is meant to be made of algae and not kelp, but both smell like shit to me.

 

has anyone actually done testing comparing the 2 ?

I think they are both designed to do the same sort of shit, but certain styles of growing you might be better off using rhizo, im not 100% on this though If I was growing full automated hydro DWC or something like that I probly wouldnt use seasol. And if just growing outdoors in soil I wouldnt spend the money on rhizo Seasol is great stuff man, no doubt about that! Its fuckin cheap too!

im using it indoors with my DWC setup 0.5 per 1000

 

rhizo may be better, but i cant justify the price. im a tightass

 

i read people worried about blockages, but it seems pretty clean to me.

Yates do one now that's clear, also somewhere on the forum this has been talked about maybe have a look around.

it has been talked about many times and I think i was RAT I could be wrong.... that did a side by side and came to the conclusion that the only diff between the 2 was the price

I will never go back to overpriced Rhizo.

 

I have run Seasol at the recommended dosage in recirculating systems and flood and drain for over a year now and I have had better results than ever before. The overall health of the plants is far superior to when I was using Rhizo and well..., the cost difference is huge.

 

Sure it does smell like hell, but I can put up with that. It also stains the roots brown but again that doesn't bother me.

 

If I ever had to recommend what to use I would definitely be going with the Seasol.

Ive always said theyre the same after buying rhizo the once. JUst smell them taste them even, theyre cleary the same thing and have the same effect on the plant. Buy the two and run them side by side if your not convinced.

 

Btw its great stuff. I use all the way through veg when i remember

The Yates one doesn't smell and is made from bull kelp.

But if it doesn't smell can it be any good.

 

I always thought the worse the smell the better the juice. But I might check out the Yates stuff Reverend even though Seasol has done good things for me.
