whats the best way to turn back

over the years i have heard many ways of how to turn back plants but the 2 that have come up the most is flush out the grow nute for 2 days and then have 48hrs of complete darkness then start your 12 on 12 off.the other is flush the last 2 days of grow then with your flower nutes add in the wemons pill i dont know how many pills go into every 100ltrs but i have heard the hormons from the pill help the plant heaps so if you know if there is any truth to these please let me know or if you have a better method i would love to hear it.pls reply

I think both flushing veg nutes and having 48hrs of darkness prior to 12/12 flip are a load of crap.

 

I keep veg nutes in my res for up to 2 weeks after flipping 12/12. They want nitrogen while they stretch so I give it to em and flush when I want to add flores nutes.

 

As for the 48hrs of darkness... well bugger me this has gotta be one of the worst myths I keep hearing. When in earths history has the sun not risen for 48hrs? Likely never so why do it to your girls indoor?

 

A successful flip to 12/12, for me, is literally changing the timer back. Nothing magical at all.

Ah ok thats what you were getting at, yea im with CC, no fancy tricks just switch the timer from 18/6 to 12/12

I agree with CC too, nothing else needed but to change the timer.

 

I don't personally use the vege nutes in the first 2wks but some do - it's up to you to experiment and see what works best for you.

+1 CC, I agree, no benefit or sense doing it that way. have thrown into total darkness at the end of flowering to boost resin production but not when switching from Veg to flower. And dude, womens birth control pills? Come on, another old wives tale.

hi guys thanks for the replys,when hanging out with my mates im so amazed what comes out of there mouth when it comes to growing.i always come back to this site and ask.i tell them to sign up and ask here but they belive sites like this a run by cops that track you down.since im the only one not growing dew to scum bags breaking in and aswell as moving house to avoid the scum bags.1 bloke swears by the pill and i have seen a comment on here befor saying the same thing,that the hormons in the pill help produce bigger bud.and as for the 48hrs of darkness he has stated that it help them turn quicker.but i will let them know its crap,when i said it to them they argue heaps,but if all you guys are saying it aswell,it might knock some sence into them.once again thanks for the answers i can always depend on you guys for the truth.

I don't think the cops would be smart enough to even think of an idea such as Oz Stoners.

Let alone being able to maintain such a great site.

Well I think the Jorge Cervantes 'bible' suggests it.

 

Personally I just reset it to the time that suits me to run it at 12h,

and put 24h+ from then.

Howzit goin? I have heard of using the pill to boost the female hormone and lessen the chance of males. Does it work? Don't know.

A bit like you it was a bunch of blokes pissin on about how good they grow. I can only confirm one of them even had a setup, but they all had advice. I remember the line being ....if you spray water with the pill on seedlings they will be female. BULLSHIT. Another old wives tale I believe.

As for turning, here's what I do. I flush, then I run full strength flowering nutes 5-7 days prior to turning. Then change the timer direct from 18/6 to 12/12. I've heard of people changing an hour/day over 6 days rather than direct. But the idea of 48hr darkness ain't good, stress the plant then turn it HMMMMM Stress me out, then expect me to be at the top of my game Not likely. I'd need to recover.
