Aright I'm just about to start my grow got seeds hole system is setup completely

i just need some things cleared up before i start

 

1: what temp should the water be in the res

 

2: how high should i have my 400 hps off the rockwool when the seeds have just been put in and how far above the plant should it stay

 

3: i have CANNA veg A and veg B nutes so would i start using them right away or wait till the seeds have sprouted

 

4: what ppm should i try keep the water at through out the grow

Generally I don't mind basic questions when a new grower is setting up, but you already have the gear in place ready to go but sounds like you havn't done nearly enough research on how to actually grow. We can answer these questions to get ya started but it's clear you need to actually understand how the answer was worked out to make you a successful hydroponic grower. At least you didn't ask what PH to aim for I guess

You've built a DWC setup but don't know what water temp your aiming for? The answer is ~18-21 deg. Why this is the best range? because it's at that temp that water can hold the most oxygen.

 

For young seedlings i'd have a 400hps perhaps a meter over the rockwool, being careful not to let the heat dry it out, and bringing light down to ~40cm when they like a week old.

 

Don't use nutes (anything but water & possibly a weak dose of root developing product) for the first ~3 weeks. Until they have like 3 sets of true leaves. Nutes early on will stunt em.

 

Finally ppm is determined by strain, nute brand, experience and personal preference. Start weak and work your way up is my advice.

yea sure will

 

room is 1380 x 1710 x 500 (length ' hight ' width)

 

got a 150 mm intake and a 250 mm centrifugal exhaust fan carbon filter for that is on its way

I've had the lights running and the fans for about 4 hours too see how hot it got in the room and it was cool as only hot pocket was around the light its self

wow u certainly have ya air sorted ...i use that same size fan to do a 3 by 3 meter room......glad some one finally going bigger than they need instead of posting how cheep n small can i get out of this 4

Cheers yeah i was worried of it being too hot in that small area so i went big

 

I'll deffs make a start the grow diary in about 2 weeks time
