That's why I got rid of 1x1000w and put timers on everything that doesn't have to run 24/7, got rid of a fridge & turn the plasma off (fuckin thing uses 5kw aday, there's $90). Dropped power by 35kw aday, makes the power bill alot easier to handle. I have searched for anything relating to being busted stealing power, the only things I have found is when people are busted it is then that they are caught stealing power. I have yet to find anything relating to people being busted from the power companies tracing power theft. I read about 1 guy they caught because his power bill dropped from $600 to $100, when they went and looked they found he was using car jumper leads to bypass the meter for his water bed. If it has happened I would like to be able read about it. A couple of years back near where I live a large operation went down, it had been going for years. They had run their own cables up the pole, had to pay back $52,000. But wasn't why they where caught.

In the above story the guy had bypassed the meter and it had gone undetected. Please explain?
