Worth drying whole plant as one

A mate suggested he liked to dry the whole plant as one, before chopping it down for smaller buds. I was wondering, is this a good idea, I heard ages ago this allows the THC to distribute through the plant, is that correct?

I let them dry out whole for a while in the shade. maybe 24 hrs ... depends on the weather ... you'll have to be the judge of that. then I begin taking off the branches and cleaning, putting the buds on a rack for final drying. I try to get this done before the whole plant dries out completely so that handling doesn't knock off bits of bud.

Ok I can;t any outside atm, but what about the thc moving through the plant, any truth in that?

hay there the its great to dry the plant upsidedown the slower it drys without light the better , if you cut the colas off seperat it will dry lil quicker ,

an i think thats bs about thc moveing through the plant , the thc as far as i know is in all them tricks outside the plant ?? im pritty shore the leaves n buds projuce the thc not the stuff that flows through the stems

i find it a pain in the ass to trim ya buds of a half dry plant...i pull, trimm, hang, than pull the next 1

Each to their own but I like to trim as soon as the plant is pulled. I just find it easier to trim when the leaves are fresh and poking straight out.

I agree PPG and Bigrat, nothing worse than trying to trim limp sticky leaves. Fresher th better, snip snip done. Peace. Gh72

Just trimmed my first crop, then I nuked a bud smoked it now Im off my nut

I basically pull it, cut the branches off and hung them upside down in the cupboard for two weeks. When the weather was warm I'd open the cupboard

doors for about half and hour and I got one of those mini fans desk fans to blow air on them.

 

After two weeks cut trims and chucked straight into big glass jar and one of these great air-sealed Decor lunch boxes.
