pipey's right, you mist at the end so the hid's don't burn your plants, as the little droplets of water sitting on the leaves act like tiny manifying glasses. I am one of those who never mist my clones. Never ever ever.

Not even once. I keep em in a dome on a heating pad. They root quicker as they have to or they die. die die die.

And what is your success rate out of say 10 or 100 clones?

I haven't lost a clone in 3 years. Thats @ 16 clones every 2 - 3 months, not allowing for giveaways. Half of these would be from one mother and the others from about 6 different strains. I thought it was bullshit when I first heard it too scuzz. The main thing is to give them fresh air a couple of times a day. Give it a try. This is also with mainly indica heavy mixes, which are harder to root. I've had a sativa heavy mix that showed roots out of the block in 4 days. I'm not sativa fan.

i stopped misting anything years back.i just couldnt be fucked...I never spray clones..a humidity crib works just fine for that in my setup.I used to spray but..i get better results than most people I know..i think there is a lot of areas which are more important than misting where one could improve their grow. I dont even go in my grow room when the lights are on. because of the effects of HID on the eyelids.Im not sure whether any of you are aware, but exposure to large amounts of HID can make eyelids increase in thickness, by as much as +4mm, and legnth by 5-7mm making one look like a mongoloid, although in my case this isnt important as i already look like one.

hey wassily, interesting what you say about sativas being easier to root. I 100% agree. I had a bunch of clones where all the Malawi Gold sativas rooted early and often, while the indicas struggled.

Foliar feeding has always been a favourite just before the onset of flowering. Apart from that foliar feeding has never seemed necessary. Or if lazy, never needed at all.

i never really mist or foliar feed...

if i do its only to really 2 keen the splashed nurtisoil off my leafs..

 

i preffer to breast feed them ( . )( . )

try it with your watering can raised up high next to your tit..

lean over.. and pour.....

 

like a tea pot...
