foliar feeding

I also don't bother with misting anything other than clones/seedlings, I did a half crop test a few years back and there was no real difference, be careful about spraying plants in flower as it can promote mould.

The reason for spraying just before lights off is that when the droplets form on the leaves they act like little magnifying glasses and the light will burn the leaves through them.

Hmmmm strange... i have definately had a much better result with the same strain now the second time around after foliar feeding once a week, and then using a freshwater spray the next day to make sure the leaves are nice and clean and free from salts etc....

Don't foliar feed of any kind in flower tho, or at the least don't do it for the last half of flowering.... bud rots and mould will be your reward... lol

Personally, I just wait for the "morning" and foliar feed my plants with the lights off, then once done turn them back on again. This allows for the spraying to be done without bursting bulbs, and the whole magnification thing? I've never seen that myself. But then again, I don't use foliar feeds that often, no more than once a week in veg. I had used thumper for the last grow, and that gave some good results, but I'd be more inclined to use it less rather than more. :o

Just something to throw you into complete confusion there mate... :(

Foliar feeding is done just before night cycle due to the plant reversing it's metabolism.

It then absorbs the nutrients throughout the leaves very quickly and gives the plant an added boost during the night and therefore leads onto the day cycle.

Never foliar feed anymore than once a week as too much can harm that plant (Over-Fertilization)

I heard of the term 'reverse' foliar feeding when I first read about misting. lol

Foliar feeding is supposedly the way to help a over-watered plant right [i just use it to water seedlings/clones to avoid disturbing the new delicate roots]???

no thats not true. the only reason you mist freshly taken clones and seedlings is because at this stage they struggle to get sufficient water through the roots. In fact some say if you can get your clones to survive without misting its better because it forced them to root faster.

Don't foliar feed the clones. This gives them the decision they can live off the nutrients they are receiving through their leaves.

You want to get the clones to root and misting to keep them moist so they do not dry out. This should be done with distilled water and in a controlled environment. Humidity chamber if needed.
