New Aero Grow

Hey guys, ive just built my first aeroponics set up, and its working so good so no worries on that.

Ive tested it with a run on tomato's by just putting the set up outside, and no worries there.

Now im going to grow inside, and i need to buy some light, and germ my seeds.

I'm going to be growing from seed because i dont have any clones, so if someone could help me out with what lights would work best and cheapest it would be great.

Im not a grower to sell, im simply growing for myself. so i dont want any of your fancy HPS stuff, keep it as cheap as possible please.

Just two quick questions; 1 --- I just explained.

2 --- Could someone help me out on the simplest, cheapest, safest and most reliable way to germinate seeds and plant them into a aerosetup, because Im a bit unsure how i would put the germinated seed straight into my Hydroton. Someone give me a hand?

Star your seeds off by floating them on top of a glass of water, when the tap root appears and is about 3mm long plant it root down into a rock-wool cube. The cubes need to be soaked in ph adjusted water for a while before you use them. Then simply bury the cube in the hydroton in the net pot.

 

If you want to use fluros then go for a high output one like this. You can get different spectrum's for vege and for flower. They will cover an area of about 2ft sq each.

I don't know why you are dead against HPS, they are not just for commercial growers and will give you far superior plant growth and bud quality and cost no where near what you would be paying if you went to a dealer.

 

Some pics of your setup would be great, we don't get to see many peeps playing with airoponics around here...

while i have no experience with aeroponics all the doco's i've seen use rockwool and they're always in a SOG setup.

 

A google for "germinate seed for aeroponic system" will direct you to some helpful sites.

Yeah ive been doing that a lot lately, Im just a bit low on cash at the moment. when i get my next paycheck ill get into it. im sure everyone would be keen to know what my grow looks like, its going to be a pretty adventurous grow
