unfortunately as mentioned earlier, only 3 came up and one was lost during transplanting (i am germing my 3 remaining beans), leaving me with 2 for the time being....good strong growth

and last but not least the ozgum

 

again, these beans germ'd fast..and seedlings are showing good strong growth with the exception of one who is way behind the others ans is very small

 

so all in all, everything is doing pretty well and have bounced well after the transplant process

i will start slowing down the updates, don't want to create too many pages to wade through, however i did want tro try and create an outdoor grow diary that can show new growers (and our other more learned colleagues) an organic grow from start to finish...i wanted to keep regular updates through the germ and seedling period as you don't see many of those pics about and now that good vigorous veg growth will start soonish i will pull back....if i don't due to the length of the growing season, this thread will be ginormous  ::

hey bacchus, if you're worried about the length of the thread, why don't you cut and paste a few pictures into one file for your updates. I do it in paint and its dead easy.

didn't realise it was linked to the FAQ, well i only hope i can help some folks out, i have received such a great response since joining and been given such wonderful advice, so it's nice to think that my expereince might contribute a little back to the amazing wealth of knowledge and experience here

Q. Whats volcanic soil? It sounds like its worth trying out. Do you buy it in bags? From Woollies? or a plants/ landscape supplier?

Sorry to tell ya buddy, but bacchus is no longer around... and so your questions probably won't be answered by her...

 

I'm still upset and having a little cry now and then about it... but it's all in the past...

 

Not sure about the volcanic soil thing, I think you'd have to either live near a volcano or buy it, but I haven't the faintest clue where you'd get it... Sorry....

Volcanic soil sounds like vermiculture - isnt that expanded volcanic rock?

Volcanic soild u can't buy i don't think! its just around , great dark soil! ment to be pretty good ! look for a volcano ! a old one and go scrape some up!
