Just a thought bacchus, if the nights are projected to be cold for a while yet, and you aren't going to plant out for at least a couple of weeks, then you may want to transplant those seedlings out into individual, and larger containers in the meantime. The root system on seedlings is quite vigourous, and the less damage and restriction on them, the better. Try to be as gentle as possible, pretend the roots are screaming at you when you tear them, that get's you in the right frame. Cannabis is fairly tolerant of rough treatment, but the less, the better, y'know?

Just a thought. :D

Nice seedlings.

If youre putting plants outside this early a mini greenhouse is a good idea to keep the cold away - its just starting to feel like planting time now and Im in a fairly hot place.

Also, that seedling tray doesnt look good for growing marijuana seedlings - use deep cups IMO as the taproot grows quickly. Theyre good sprouting trays though.

thanks for your comments wilderbud...

but like i said, the seedlings will only be in those trays for a couple more days more before putting them in seedling pots, where they will have plenty more room to move.....have used this method before without problems

thanks again for your input guys...we all have our own methods and every grower loves feedback...well i know i do anyhow... :D

quick update

seedlings have now been transplanted to individual pots with organic potting mix, complete with worm castings....unfortunately the seeds that had not yet come up have shown no further sign of germing and aslo lost a swazi x skunk during transplanting...

pics to follow later

Im thinking of going with worm ferts as well, but I read that you cannot burn or overfert with it,

Is this true??

I have a worm farm but no worms yet, It appears to collect liquid ferts, can I use this straight?

I think you mean worm castings - theyre a by-product of a worm farm as opposed to normal compost when you have no worms. Id mix worm castings with all of the soil if I use it [ive only used it once as it was there] - its used for growth. Put some potash near the base of your hole for flowering time if youre not going to use bloom nutrients or guano.

Theres a range of organic nutrients which uses worm casting fertilizer as their grow formula and bat guano fertilizer as their bloom and AFAIK most organic growers use these as a combination [along with many other things - heh].

You can get worm tea from a worm farm, also called vermicompost tea... Great stuff for organics, and yeah weekprik, it's quite weak in salts available to plants in immediate form and releases nutrients slowly, so it's hard to over fert...

Good stuff, I want to get my own farm going, don't really have the space unfortunately... :)

few new pics....

i will start slowing down the updates, don't want to create too many pages to wade through, however i did want tro try and create an outdoor grow diary that can show new growers (and our other more learned colleagues) an organic grow from start to finish...i wanted to keep regular updates through the germ and seedling period as you don't see many of those pics about and now that good vigorous veg growth will start soonish i will pull back....if i don't due to the length of the growing season, this thread will be ginormous ::):

now the c99

four remaining...one of these is quite small compared to the others, and it's first set of leaves (serated) came up in a triplet, not a double, the third leaf slightly twisted and from above looks like a 3 pointed star shape and growth is slow...anticipating a weak plant
