Australian net censorship law is being discussed

It saddens me to know that marijuana is illegal.

 

Anyway... Theres was a post on Slashdot today about talk of a new internet censorship law. I had a read of the story and most of it is boring although the last paragraph of the page I read may interfere with this site, visitors and/or its owner so it may be wise to keep an eye on it.

 

I openly condone and participate in the use of marijuana for recreation and medication although I would hopefully not do it on the internet if this vague law [the last paragraph] was introduced.

That'd be right, the peseants forming together and cementing a resistence against a tyrinacal power has to be stopped. I mean freedom is a state of mind, not government isn't it? Democracy a slight of hand?

 

If more people are against a stupid law than for it, how can it continue to be prohibited? And prohibited to the point of exluding conversation on the matter.

 

No brothers and sisters, we don't have a democracy, we get to vote between a couple different parties, but the powers of state, the people with influence, not neccisarily in government, will always dictate what we peseants can and can't do.

 

it's time for a revolution. It's time to go through the treasure chest.
