Police have seized hash oil valued at more than $250,000 from a property in northern NSW.

About 9.30 am yesterday (25 March), police from Richmond Local Area Command executed a search warrant on the property on Stoney Chute Road at Wadeville.

At the property, police found 21 kilos of hash oil – an extract made from hashish. This quantity of hash oil is believed to be valued in excess of $250,000. Police also discovered 26 cannabis plants.

Investigators would like to speak with the owner of the property in relation to the seized drugs.

Anyone with information about the owner’s whereabouts...

Agree with you totally Radic, how many people could benefit from that ammount of hash oil? So very sad that it is now wasted because our police force like our politicians are uneducated and ignorant about the medicinal qualities of this plant. This is not a police issue but a health issue so why are the police wasting our money chasing down medicine growers. No one is immune from cancer, ms, arthritis, glaucoma and many other illnesses and it is our duty as a nation to allow people to at least be able to TRY cannabis therapy. Open your eyes Australian Police and Politicians and see all the results of worldwide research, and be prepared to feel totally stupid when you do.

The coppers have probably weighed cannabis leaf soaking in some legal solvent. From my understanding of the law, if  hash oil is in the solution then the police can weigh the whole lot as hash oil.

It was probably the leaf left over from a personal grow and now because of stupid laws someones going to jail for trafficking a commercial quantity of hash oil.

Sad days!

If they really did have 21 kg of oil (which I very much doubt), I'd say the cops probably followed the chemicals they used to make it.

Peace
