LED's; an explanation that seems reasonable

Recommended Posts

Hi guys got my gear from bonza man they make it look easy (is it difficult to post a letter? you would think so from my other experiences) I am going to do 2 grows one with HPS to flower and one with a 120w dedicated flowering led. Both the same plants and nutes everything and at harvest we can see, expext to be cutting early to mid August. I am useing jack herer from vision seeds and canna nutes, in pierlite, see you all a bit later. Oh by the way vedging with a 120w CFL

Tang can you post some specs on the 120w LED: how many color bands, lens angle, actual power draw, LED brand shit like that. I love LED's personally but 120w isn't in the same class as a 400hps. A 240 or 300w would probably be a better comparison. The HID will kill the 120.

Having said that still can't wait to see the results!

Hi farmer go to led Princess (google it) they are from Singapore they have all the specs. lumens wise its higher than 400w HPS and spectrum wise has more of the right colours for flowering. They also have dedicated vedging leds. I cant follow all the high tech jargon nor do I want to argue the point. I will just do the two grows and see for myself. Side by side the led is brighter than my HPS but untill I actualy try it I will not comment. Thanks to this site I now have a seed supplier Bonza, by the way the herer seeds from vision I soaked for 12 hours and put them in a propogator on rockwool cubes and 24 hours later they both have roots. Those are some FRESH seeds. Once again good on you Bonza.

You'll need to taking cuttings a single plant and flower those for a comparison. If you use two seed plants any difference may just be down to the genetic profile of the plant. Also, an October finish would be more realistic than mid August.

All the best with it, post up a diary so we can all see it as it happens.

Hi guys my loss not yours hashy if it goes to shit, either way I will still have the one under HPS to fall back on but I will still give it a go I am only a newbie to your site, I have been doing this for a long time (35yrs) both indoors and out. I have just not been able to get the strains I wanted only clones from mates who all love indica's, I grew up on sativas in Africa and its those I realy like. But these hybrids from holland are just too tasty to pass up. Thanks again to your site for turning me onto Bonza its the best thing thats happend to me in years.

You are probably right about October just my wishfull thinking, from seeds it takes longer, but the vision seeds I have got are just jumping out of their shells to germinate I have only seen this speed from last years crop seeds before, so they are realy fresh.
