Covert gardening

Recommended Posts

Hello my fellow Greeners! I was having a thunk regarding covert indoor growing. Burying a sea container in the back paddock, which would probably attract attention unless you had the machinery to do it yourself (not such a stupid idea if you have the land and machinery to do it). But one idea that could be doable is having a dummy 5000 gallon water tank outside next to the house set up as a grow space. Of course it would need to be insulated and probably still need to be cooled in summer, and there would need to be a sneaky access panel cut in, but I think it could work.

Is this the oldest trick in the book (you can grow a lot of pot in a save like that), or have I just had another great, pot-inspired epiphany? I'm on acerage, so I dont have to worry about any neighbours bemused looks as I climb in or out of my water tank. But the idea of having my grow hidden in plain sight really does appeal to me, but then again, I'm quite immature for my age.

It's not as silly as it sounds. In reality it's no different to a shed grow or bedroom. It probably requires a bit of thought as to how to hang the lighting, discreet access etc but no reason why it couldn't work>

Reminds me of the fake swimming pool in Cheech & Chongs "Nice Dreams"!!!:stunned:

I'll admit that the first time I read this, I dismissed the idea as just one too many tokes on the J and time for a little sleep, so I sat down and had a few meself and suddenly realised, that is a great fucking idea!:applause: . Seriously! They can even be buried under your driveway, it may be a bit of a hassle getting into it I'll grant you, but if covert is the name of the game ............... I had actually thought of an old sceptic!?:crap:  I mean, Yuck :faint: ........... Double Yuck!........ But if it could be cleaned out (very, very thouroughly), if it was structurally sound (even if the roof and walls had to be supported). You could always run out a cord or two and bury them. If the access area could be made large enough and make a good sturdy ladder, I don't know, there is a lot of if's there................. maybe, if there was absolutely no other option, and I didnt have any, or all the dealers in the entire world had none, and then some sneaky bastard just stashed all the pot in the entire planet in an "unusual" spot, and now no prick can find it anywhere, then maybe. I think I would rather try the underground water tank first. An under-deck tank would be ok for shorter plants, a quick look on the net tells me that a 2200 lire rectangular, poly tank goes for about $1400, so not the cheapest option. lol! (I wonder if you could get it subsidised by a government grant?) Still, once again, if covert is the name of the game.
