Chopper's in SE Qld

FYI, A chopper has been flying around the Southern Hinterland on the Gold Coast for the last 3 hours.

Im up a bit further in south brisbane, we have had them flying over every 2 days or so for about an hour. Not sure if they're looking for something or tripping and going for joy rides, pilot always looks a little unco

The copper chopper flys over my place all the time, Was worried at first but now I dont give a shit, havnt had any visits from the feds.

So I wouldnt stress about it too much unless you growing a major then I think you could be FUCKED better leave the country.Ha Ha

Uh yea that's what I thought dimplex. I see em every other day/night however only in passing they never hover or circle around.... and even then I think you'll find they are rescue services and do not have any sort of FLIR technology in them

Well either way all im saying is something is up somewhere or they wouldnt be flying in the same route every day

Could be that time of year for training to, I'm near an airbase so probably should have mentioned that sooner xD

the choppers doing the rounds in SEQ at present are inspecting power lines.

 

Queensland police do not have an air wing, but I'd imagine one would be commercially available if the state could actually afford one.

High all,

Although it's worth keeping an eye out , It's important to remember just how much traffic there is in the skies these days. There has especially been an increase of Helicopters in the air over recent years ... they have choppers for just about anything these days.

Police Choppers , Army choppers , Medical choppers , Rescue choppers , Surveyor Choppers , Joy-ride Choppers , Utilities Choppers (Elec and Phone) , Executive Choppers and the list probably goes on. All the way up and down the East coast there are more and more businesses utilizing Hellicopters each year , therefore , more and more choppers in the sky.

Unless the chopper is obviously marked "POLICE" it makes it very difficult to determine these days which is which.

 

I have also heard though that the Police force or government have an agreement with surveyors and utility companies to report any grow-ops they may encounter in their day to day duties visiting peoples residences ... not sure it's the same for the choppers ... or if there is even any truth to it at all ... something to think about anyway.

 

Well anyhoo , I'm still waiting for the choppers to 'do' this area ... seems they are continuing operations around here all the way up until Mardigrass ... Had 50 Cops at once and Feds and Immigration and dogs and all sorts of operations in Nimbin already (and continuing) ... but no choppers yet ... ? ... Bastards! ... trying to lure people into a false sense of security? ... or a sense of paranoia and dread by stretching it out over nearly 3 months? ... BASTARDS!!!
