HARVEST REPORT

The harsh winter conditions really took a toll on the two girls, the temps dropped to -6C at night regularly and as a result the WW didn't finish very well, it had very under formed buds and virtually no stone to it at all so I binned it. Shame because it was looking very good until ol' Jack Frost got his mitts on it...

The OMS stood up to the severe temps very well with no frost burn and very nice bud formation. Even though the buds were very light and fluffy it gave over a pound of good strong smoko. It didn't look very pretty by the end of it's 14wks of flowering and would not be sellable but once mulled up it smokes very well. It has a pungent smell when smoked - an extremely strong and almost obnoxious odour that I am not familiar with from my work with indicas in the past. The high is strong and clean, very racy and cerebral - very easy to burn out on, you almost need some Valium after a few days of smoking it. Next time I grow the OMS I will start it much earlier in the year so that I can try and avoid the harshness of the winter in my area, and hopefully I will be able to let it flower even longer than I did this run as the OMS can flower up to 20wks given the right conditions. I can see how gundi got such a huge harvest off that big girl as it yields very well. A note of thanks to the big fella as he has provided me with a healthy stash of OMS seeds to let me continue my work with it for years to come. A thankyou to shrooms as well for hooking me up with these beans in the first place. :bongon:

Sorry but there are no pics, they looked like shit and I have lost my camera in my house move. Watering them became a real ordeal as I had to wade into a dam in frreezing conditions to fill my watering can and it was really not nice. Guerrila growing has it's appeal, but I will try to avoid it if I can in the future.

Ol' Jimbo is currently unable to grow due to a shitty housing situation so you won't be seeing any grows from me for at least a year or so, but I have big plans in motion and will be returning with a fantastic setup asap.

Stay safe everyone,

Jimbo :bongon:

Heya jimbo, sorry to hear ya WW was a bit dud, so was mine mate. They don't like that damp. I am trying to cross WW with PC for a bit more rersistance to Moisture and desease/pests outside. I had Gnats and Mites this run and the PC shrugged it off like it was nothing, so fingers crossed.

OMS, great to see our Aussie sativas still kicking arse out there. A force to be reakoned with. Hope you pop in and say hello even without any grows coming up.

Have a nice break mate. Peace. gh72
