In their obsessive/compulsive mania the government (Big Brother, the NWO, however you view it) has really revealed the level of mentality in two articles in this mornings news. Both are in the area of the perpetual 'war' on plants, I mean drugs, errm, I mean plants that might theoretically be used by a small number of people to get high, which is really bad and not at all like people who plants to get high in another way, like making alcohol for instance. Anyway, the first one is about snooping around your sewerage, yes, you can get a job as a government turd-burglar and testing it for 'traces of drugs'. They plan to do this in prisons and at rock concerts, wow, there's rocket science right there, what do you think kiddies, will our friendly and caring government find traces of drugs at those places, stay tuned to find out.

DRUG users could soon be caught out by their own excrement thanks to groundbreaking research techniques being developed and studied by universities in Tasmania and Queensland.

Site-specific waste water analysis is a relatively new science that involves testing sewage to produce an accurate picture of the types and quantities of drugs used by people in a certain area.

Testing waste water from prisons will form a major part of the study, said the lead researcher, Jeremy Prichard, from the University of Tasmania. He predicts the method may be adopted at nightclubs, music festivals and private residences, too. Craig Bell, director of the Stonewall Hotel on Oxford Street, said most nightclub and bar owners would resist the technology. ''What's to say someone didn't take drugs outside, down the road, or at home before they came into our nightclub and used our toilets?'' he said. ''It's like the scenario of the private investigator rifling through people's garbage,'' said Stephen Blanks, secretary of the NSW Council for Civil Liberties.

''It's in the police's rights but it points out a gap in privacy protection because people have a legitimate expectation that when they put their waste out, their privacy will be protected. It opens up Pandora's box.''

The next bit of rampant stupidity comes in the form of attacking people who's hobby is collecting cactus plants and native plants.

A CONTROVERSIAL proposal to ban many familiar backyard plants and trees, including angel's trumpet and a large number of wattles, has outraged gardeners and nursery owners.

The federal government says the plants should be prohibited because they could be used to make illegal drugs.

Among the species on the blacklist are many common cactuses containing tiny amounts of mescaline, leading some hobbyists to fear they could be charged under drug laws.

"In our cactus clubs probably 50 per cent of our members are 50 or 60 years of age," said April Hamilton, the secretary of the Cactus and Succulent Society of NSW. "We grow these plants because we love them, not because there is some mystical meaning in them. Some of our members are worried that they are going to end up going to jail over this."

The dramatically widened list of controlled plants, contained in a discussion paper issued by the Attorney-General's department, would put widespread species such as the leopard tree and the gossamer wattle in the same category as cannabis and magic mushrooms.

"This is a stupid, broad-brush, knee-jerk piece of legislation made by people who have absolutely no idea of botany and who have done no research into the incredible spectrum of plants that would be affected by it," said Robyn Francis, a permaculture expert and author.

OK, there's really nothing I can say about that one, well I could say plenty, but hopefully....I shouldn't have to.

G'day Nooby. Not at all suprised the Tasmanian Uni is into playing with shit. Maybe having Bob Brown (nice name for a burgler of turds, Brown) from there has some thing to do with it. And that second piece of stupidity can only lead me to believe the Attorney General's dept. has taken to the strong drink

Surely not another Government spending the peoples money on :crap: lol So much for targeting organised crime gangs and not the users what a joke... Fact is without the users "caught up in the net" they would have fuck all figures to show the general public and continue the farce of winning the "drug war".

curious - unless they can tie it directly to A user, what is the point? they want to find out what drugs are being used in what areas? tell you guvmint mafakaz what, you got drunks and junkies EVERYWHERE... In high society maybe they arent so obvious - mostly because they have Plasmas and air conditioning... So all they are going to find out is that we ALL use a little sumfn...

Interesting that no-one has commented on the banning of plants containing substances appropriatly highlighted as the "second piece of rampant stupidity"

THis is the bigger piece of shit in this news (i unfortunatly think they may be linked tho). This move to ban plants is a part of CODEX ALIMENTARIUS. Take 10 minutes to educate yourself if you haven't already.

http://www.natural-health-information-centre.com/codex-alimentarius.html

While it might seem like this testing thing is more relevant to us as smokers, the ban of (medicinal) plants and control of vitamins and minerals will hvae a far greater impact on our lives (AND HEALTH!). You can SAY GOOD BYE TO MEDICINAL MARIJUANA that would be for sure! and also say good bye to garlic, ginger, acacia, mescaline catus, angels trumpet (datura) and many other plants that have been used by mankind for one purpose or another for 1000's of years.

Our freedom is being taken from us inch by inch. It isn't publicised main stream becasue that would be contra to their purpose. We as free thinking individuals must educate and empower ourselves. I like my life, I dont want for anything. I'd like to think that if I keep my head down I can continue in this way for a long time. Unfortunatly i keep reading things like what Nooby (and many others) has posted in forums for people like you and me to read.

I have no idea what to do about it, but knowing is better than being ignorant. Does anyone else know about the NEW WORLD ORDER, CODEX ALIMENTARIUS and other "rampant pieces of stupidity"?

Hey Greenbeard. :)

Yeah I think people are slowly starting to wake up, thanks mostly to the internet and the freedom of information that it represents. Unfortunately 'most' people prefer to stay asleep, slaves to the system, government, NWO, second Roman Empire, whatever you want to call it and they will fight to protect it.

Came across this short clip the other day, VERY encouraging (Just ignore the link to the page where they go for the money grab. :) )

I hope it encourages others as well.
