Masking/Cooling hot exhaust air

Recommended Posts

Can I ask you though, are you just guessing that it's LEO flying over you, or are you certain? I caught a glimpse of a chopper hovering over mine today and it was red, blue and white stripped. Dunno if that tells you anything. Anyway to tell or just assume it's them?

Well the police have a training facility just near me and you can actually see them in their jumpsuits when they fly over my house/property. The choppers they use are white, blue and grey ones. We actually wave to them when they go past if we are out in the yard but to date they haven't spotted my outdoor plants.

The most common chopper is Country Energy which flies over at least once a week checking lines.

I'm usually more concerned about them because they are so close to the ground and the few I do have outdoors are near their junction box.

I think you are probably going overboard with your plans to mask the heat unless you plan on running a 200k grow or something.

If you are really that concerned then why not seal up the grow room and run aircon?

Jimbo, I totally agree with you. I am being over-paranoid. There's been a few arrests in my area lately of growers so I was just seeing if anyone has anyway around this issue. I do agree though, probablly overkilling it a bit haha :P

Question about your idea to run aircon in the grow room. Do you mean aircon inside the actual grow closet? Or duct the hot air out of the closet and THEN aircon the room the hot air ends up in?

Cheers for the replies

Well I did mean run a totally sealed grow room and run aircon in it - the room has to be airtight though.

I don't have any experience running a sealed room btw so you should post a thread asking for other peeps advice imo.

You could run it the other way but that's really doubling up for no reason...
