omg geez what have i started here? ... ive unleashed a MONSTER! :P

maybe i should just keep my baked ideas to myself? :P :P :P

No Jester, not at all. This is the place to ask questions :scratchin: . Some will agree, some disagree and if this creates friction then there will be a discussion :wallbash: . This topic has gone a bit off track but asking questions is the best way to learn. Some ideas maybe outside the square some answers may also be different but ask.

Somebody once said 'information is power'.

No matter what the query, somebody here has had similair experiences, which you can learn from. Use this huge resource of knowledge to your benefit. Don't take this argy bargy bullshit as a bad thing, MONSTER or not. The Mods here are pretty good at pulling things back into line fairly quickly so things don't disintergrate into a shit fight, so ask away. 'Half Baked' ideas give people something to think about as alternatives to the 'set ways' of doing things. The thinking used to be that the world was flat until someone came up with the half baked idea it was round. Not all info will be true or suit your setup, so you do need to confirm sometimes. My info works for me and my setup. will it work for others?I don't know but if it can help, I'll give it freely

No Jester, don't stop. Ask away.

i think your 500W or so of CFL is plenty, dont be wasting cash on LEDs...

Yeah leds are overly expensive, although do make up for it somewhat with their life span and no need for extra fans. Give it a few more years though and they will be out performing HID's and maybe more moderately priced; currently the led industry is booming which is only leading to better technology and price competition, still a way to go though.
