Cannabis plants worth an estimated three quarters of a million dollars have been located near Wollongong, police say.

 

he 375 plants, some of which measured 1.83m in height, were found growing in bushland at Helensburgh, Garrawarra and Darkes Forest on Thursday morning.

 

The discovery was made by local police, along with officers attached to the State Crime Command Drug Squad and the Police AirWing.

 

Police estimate the plants have a street value of $750,000.

 

All plants have since been destroyed.

i think the one thing we can take from that is that finally they are giving more realistic $ figures of estimated worth

I read this article this morning and thought the same thing . . . assuming all the plants were females of course

pitty but prob a commercial operation so ehhhhhhhhhhhh

yeah... 2 grand per plant at street prices

 

and yeah it could have been a comm grow ... but it might not have been too ......they`ve stated that they found em in three different places....tahts only a hundred odd in each area, which imo isnt very much ....especially if it was just a couple of crew grows....joint effort type jobs where the crew all share the harvest for perso until next year?

 

 

it could also be a case that SOME of the plants measured 1.8m,(like 10%) with the other 90% measuring 1m

 

aaahhhhh,...all i can say is, the pigs always blow sh`it out of proportion

Whether it's a commercial or perso' grow, a lot of people will not have their meds

The stats are absolute BULL as not all plants will be female, and not all will be the height they have stated. Then, there is also no guarantee they would all have reached maturity. There is a hundred things that could go wrong as i'm sure a lot of outdoor growers on OS have experienced. So unless the pigs bust a fully harvested and cured crop, how can they state even an estimated value
