Basic nutes for beginners

Recommended Posts

i've always found using the directions on the bottle is way over kill - specially in veg growth.

My current nutes say 4ml per litre of water - which i mixed up and the PPM was 1900 - WAAAY to much (although my tap water has ~400 ppm, reverse osmosis here i come)

Get an EC meter an mix your own based on what the plant can handle. Trial and error till you get it dialed in :)

Hey Stoned Saul =) , I love me Coco. I agree with Rev, you don't use a stick of dynamite to drill a hole in the wall. reallyexcited.gif Right tool for the right job mate. You CAN use hydro nutes but you'll have to flush more to keep ya salt levels down. Flushing normally with Coco nutes is enough! freak.gif

I grow in Coco and I must disagree with Rosetta, additives play an important part in growing in coco, especially in the breaking down of older/dead root matter as done by a good enzyme additive, beneficial bacterias added to coco also play a very important role in keeping your plants healthy. I also like good PK aditives towards the end for that lil extra Umph!

If you flush well at the end of Harvest and have used a good quality Nutrient range, the taste is supreme. bongon.gif

There are some great Coco nutes out there, check out some coco grows on here and the ones you like the look of, go back to the first page and see what sort of nutes they use. Then you'll have a rough idea what works, then you just got to pick one that works for you. Good way to get started anyway, cause theres too much bullshit on the net and from nute companies to do anything but confuse the piss outta ya. doh.gif

Good Luck man and Welcome to Coco. peace.gif Gh72
