LED Grow Lights?

Red/Blue LED Grow Lights, are they as good as fluorescent and metal vapour lights? Has anyone actually used them? Any tips?

G`day Newiechick, best tip I can give is head to the lighting section in the cultivation forums. There are many threads relating to LED lighting, most negative.

 

Have a good read through and you`ll see what you`re looking for I`m sure

LED's (UFO) do they work ?

 

Yes they do, BUT have only used them for mothers & veg so cant comment on flowering.

Keep away from the dual band versions unless they are real cheap & you plan to supplement with CFL.

Make sure the red led's are the right bandwith & led's have 120+ degree angle, as this is about all I can fault with them, they have a narrow beam.
