Stressed clones?

A good few days after taking a few clones from my favourite mother, the main stems of all of them turned a purpelish colour. Other than that they are getting new growth, could this be stress?

Hi Dazza...could be they are too cold? could be stress...try and isolate the factors u think that might be causeing it....

 

But if growth is good I wouldnt worry too much...

From what I have read its normal for seedlings stems to go purple or even red I wouldn't worry about it mate.... Have they got roots yet?

 

I have a seedling atm and the stem is purple but growing pretty good at temp around 20c

I usually see purple stems when I grow in soil only - they dont seem to grow as fast as when you have pure green stem. I attribute it to growing in soil and think its because roots arent as healthy in soil .: the plant isnt as healthy as it could be [not should be].

purple stems can be a genetic trait. It doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong with the plant.

The clones are in rokwool cubes at the moment but no roots are poking out the bottom yet. The box stays a constsnt 21 degrees so i am sure that they are warm enough(i have a 100w globe in the box to keep it warm). I will keep an eye on the growth.

21 is a little on the cold side. The ideal range for growing temps is 24-27 degrees.
