When a child grows up !

Recommended Posts

Greetings 420 community. I am about to give birth to my first baby (pictures attached) 14 weeks and lots of tender loving care and attention. BUT as this is my first child I am wondering about her growth pattens, is she as good as she can be ? Lots of heads but not all that big ? To cut or not to cut that is the question. I wouldn't want to be the father of a premature child....any ideas ? all welcome..thank you in anticipation...BADHABITSOZ

Hi Badhabitsoz, Is that 14 weeks in flower (under 12/12)? I ask because it looks more like 2-3 weeks into flower. No offence intended.

Thanks mate, no offence take...no its more like 4 weeks flowering hence the questions...how long do they flower as such and can they "over-flower" and go off type thing ? while we're at it I have been using potash for nutrients any suggestions of anything else to help the flowers? Thanks ;)

Hey BadHabit.

Flowering time will depend on the strain, do you know what it is? Could be 8 weeks, could be 16 weeks if its heavy on the Sativs side, does appear your plant is on the Sativa side.

To know when to harvest you could use a loupe to check the trichomes, they will go from clear, to cloudy them to amber; 50% amber is a pretty good indication its ready to go. Also depends on your preference though, if you want a clearer speedier high you can harvest earlier with more clear trichomes and some cloudy, if you want a stonier high you go more amber. I also think the more amber you let them go will produce more cannabinoids, less on the THC side; dont hold me to that though :scratchin:

Potash is great, might also want to add a more general fert with that, like some liquid blood and bone for a bit of nitrogen and phosphorus.

Thanks for the info mate, I will continue using the fishoil as well as the potash. Also do some more reading "trichomes" for example... And "loupe" this is becoming a real hobby as well as good medication :)
