Life span of hps light

Hi ppl, can anyone tell me how how to know when my 600 hps light tube is due to be changed, apart from a blown one of course.

depends on how often you use it...

 

If you use it every day...for growing and flowering then change every 3 months...if you only use it for flowering every 6-12 months would be cool...

any HPS bulb is the same which means every 3rd grow you need a new bulb for,

thats weather or not you use it full time or hardly ever, just remember the 3rd grow rule.

You can usually find out at the manufacturer’s web site, most globes are rated as effective for 12 months of use, not including dark time.
