POLICE have seized 90 cannabis plants and more than $16,000 cash after a search warrant was carried out at a home in Carine yesterday.

 

A Misuse of Drugs Act search warrant was executed on the Guinevere Way home yesterday.

 

Police spokesman Samuel Dinnison said police at the scene allegedly came across an “elaborate hydroponic set up†in the home which took up two rooms in the house.

 

Proceeds of Crime Squad Detectives have put a “freeze notice†on the $16,000 cash and the property.

 

A 60-year-old man has been charged over the haul and is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court tomorrow.
