WA Legalistaion Team!

Ok, it seems like no groups in WA are formed yet specifically to fight cannabis law reform.

What we need is a lawyer, hopefully like minded - that will provide advice on how to not screw ourselves over.

A spokesperson also - preferably one with a clean record. (that excludes me)

 

And the group of almighty members.

If it reaches the point of renting a hall for regular meetings, that is all I ask.

 

Does anyone think this is possible? I think so.

I would suggest organising a Public Forum - maybe thru a Uni or Law Society first . . .

 

Also a 420 Protest outside State Parliament on April 20th, then

 

A MayDay Action on May 1st, then

 

AGlobal Marijuana March to State Parliament on May 7th.

 

Unfortunately I'm in Sydney trying to get similar events organised or I would help more.

thanks macciza, good to get a brainstorm happening, all ideas welcome. i am not much of a public speaker, thats why i like the idea of having a get together, a smaller group to start with, so we can workout the topics and issues that we want to discuss, and make sure we can get the numbers of people at the events.

you may notice I tried a similar post last year asking for people who wanted to get together to start a group. got like 2 emails back... anyways obviously im keen to get involved. my email is nibblins@hotmail.com please feel free to contact me. Please note: I did receive an email asking if I could hook them up... please dont bother if that is your only goal.

 

If time and location is a factor maybe we should look at finding some online chat room that we can all enter at the same time to start the discussion.

yeah im moving back to perth soon and would like to be part of it (one of the almighty members that is ). but wont be there till then end of the month.

I am on the south coast of WA, and am busy getting signatures but it is slow and steady. Am going to Perth next week so if anyone has arranged anything, would love to know. But as MongyMan said the Chat room here is a great meeting place to organize anything. Even once a week or whatever. Am sure WA would have some decent numbers behind this if we unite of course, but I dont care as I am not stopping until I get 10,000 for WA even if I have to door knock for everyone. We can do it, and oh what joy it will be when we have dispensaries all over Australia.
