winter grow

Recommended Posts

I used to grow through winter... veg indoors and flower out in a greenhouse. Left entirely in the greenhouse my skunk#1 wouldn't really bud... looks more like a continuation of preflowering with little height gain, but the leaves coat with resin all the same and it made good cooking product. Taking the plants inside to a heated room overnight produced a much better result. Buds were still very thin, but they had the same sort of potency as warm flowered plants.

Don't know how it would go outside of drought conditions... drought meant very sunny winters at 35'S latitude.

Ive never really had much success with winteries... I know down here the people that do it put them on hills and north facing slopes to help with keeping out all the water during the heavy rains, and alot of it is to do with strain. I think you want a hardy mainly indica strain so it wont try and go back to veg when the days start getting longer. I have tried winteries a few times and only end up with single cola plants or tiny little bonzais so I gave up :P
