adding 125 watt grow cfl to my 400hps

Sure it will help, but I think your better off getting a CFL to boost light in your flowering stage...

 

2700k CFL for flowering

 

6400k if you really want one for a veg boost

 

Your hps will still be doing most the work tho

Short answer... not really

 

There`s a myriad of issues that affect the efficiency and any benefit, namely placement of the lamps.

Personally, I`d use the 125, if ya got it in a mum/cutting box or cupboard.

 

Some specs of your grow area will lead to more in depth advice, such as placement, any if at all benefits/downsides, etc...

 

I`d imagine you`re looking at the spectral side as opposed to the actual luminous side, yeah?

Pleb is on the money, and it depends on the area you have to cover as a fluro won't throw the light very far.

 

I have done this before and I thought it made a small difference but not enough to be worth the effort.

hi guys i ended up with another 400 as i got it at the right price..cant complain for 100 for the lot ..
