Female/Male Ratio

Hey you guys are very lucky because I have had quite the opposite this year. Out of 5o plants i had 20 males. Last year I had 2 males !!!

I was given some seeds from a freind so i dont know what strain they are but out of 7 i got 1 male,but only have 2 left as i gave the rest away.

yeah I started with 11, only 1 was male so I still got 10 left

Was prepared to end up with about 5 or 6, so I gotta be happy with 10!

I had a 60/40 rate in favour of males... first time Ive ever had more males and most of them were Imported seed and feminised

if you grow enough seed , ie 100 or more ,,

youll find everything evens out to a 50/50 % .

Melindascrapz ... yours is a very unusual tale. all I can think is that yr growing medium must be too acid

 

Swstoner ... you have a record drought there do you not? which is just the opposite to this side.

 

Wallyduck ... not in my experience. certainly not in the past ten years since I have been selecting the best seedlings to grow on a few weeks after germination. I have NOT introduced other strains. my strain is the same now as ten years ago. I think the quality of the plants has not suffered.

 

I have not seen a male or hermaphrodite this season.
