I usually do a combo of what both Chato 'n bilbonic mentioned, with a bit of my own twist on top of it.

Firstly, I fill up a plastic rubbish bin 2 or 3 day before I intend to flush. So it has time for the chlorine to evapourate and PH balance and monitor it for that time.

Once it comes to the day I flush, I dump the old nutrient solution out of the DWC system. Then hook the system up to tap (town water) and fill the system up to the very top, then I dump that as well.

Once that has fully drained, I shut off the drainage and then fill the system up with the PH Balanced water that I prepped 2 or 3 days earlier. I usually cycle that through the DWC system between 24 to 96 hours.

Depending to what stage of the grow I'm at. If I'm still going through the vegging/budding stage I'll prepare another batch of nutrients and get that PH balanced over that time (1 to 4 days). But if I'm onto the final flush, before harvest. It's just a case of preparing another batch of PH balanced water. Because when it comes to final flush, I like to do two batches of PH balanced water, over the period of a week or so.

A little out there I know, It's just the routine I've managed to get into. :freak:

:peace:
