more lights lesser wattage?

In that more of the electricity consumed converts to light that the plants can consume. You have to have the 1000W further from the plants due to the heat its putting out, so more of the light its putting out is wasted by the distance

Hey Pleb.

 

Sorry, I haven't been on in a few days & here I find you 2 fighting...

 

Here's the go Pleb... Put in simple terms, it's all I deal in, no matter how many 1000w lights you put in you'll NEVER equal the sun. In this same way you'll NEVER match 1000w with 4 or even 10 x 250w.

 

If you've ever seen a 1000w light in action you'll see what I mean with the 4 x 250w lights not coming close to the same... well same anything. They're so bright a blind man could see the light.

 

The 4 x 250w might be closer & seem to cover a lot more area but the 1000w can cover an area of approx 5sqm + easy & end up with rock solid buds..

 

I did a cfl grow with 3 x 100w = 1200w (so they said.) & ended up with 3 1/2ozs from 750x750mm room & it took near 6mths. I put a 600w in there & got 5 1/2ozs & it took under 3mths. The difference in the buds were the difference between my little finger & my wrist.

 

As a woman I don't say this much Pleb, but in this case... Bigger is better.

 

I used to think the same thing but alas it isn't so.
