Outdoor marijuana leaf rusting problem.

Recommended Posts

Hello,

First time outdoor grower due to mate giving me some clones so i thought i would give it a go. It was all going fine until today, the leaves started going a rusty colour and dying. Has anybody got any idea what the problem could be? An example of a leaf with the rust look is attached. Also any ideas of the type of weed it could be from just leaf.

Thanks for any feedback.

Thanks for the reply Smashed 1. I will try the water flush and if that does not work i will try the epson salts. Spots started first as well as some munching on the leaves the misses thinks, so i thought of bugs and gave it a light spray with pyrethrum. Let you know how it goes. Cheers.

check this out ae. problems with pics. to me it looks like phosphporus deficiency.

Thanks Brick50, i checked it out and its very similar isnt it apart from the stems are the same colour as before and not turned a redish colour, ive ran water through them, see what happens. Ive done abit more research and it could be a fungi that causes rusting on alot of different plants. See what the water flush does first. Thanks. A couple more examples of the top and bottom of the leaf.

Is that pic an overall indicator of the plant or just isolated to a few older leaves?

If you`re watering well and feeding well, rarely if ever get a deficiency, Mg is used in such low levels as to be available in most soil without needing to be added.

Check yer soil PH, make sure its not isolated like a under-hanging leaf holding moisture etc before going into full root cause analysis

Gday Jaikai,

The example leaves are an indicator of the whole plant, it didnt start rusting at the bottom or top but every part of the plant. Also tested the soil and it comes up fine.

Cheers.
