Lighting , Please help

hey, i have a 130 watt grolite cfl for growth. i need to know if just one would be enough for 2 plants in a deep water culture system.

would it be ok to add another light (2500k) for flowering?, so 1 light for vegative then 2 for flowering?

How much you wanna yield? because yeah it will be OK, but just OK! And yea, you will get a yield... Dont mean it will be much... Would get much better results with a 250w or 400w HPS I reckon But maybe you are using fluros for a reason... I do not know.

yeah i know hps are MUCH better, but at the moment i can only use cfl, i would prob be able to get a hps soon,

but for now cfl is the way to go, i was also thinking about adding afew 15-26 watt cfl's as extras?

You get out of it what you put in to it.

 

Put in a little bit of light, get out a little bit of bud.

would adding afew small watt lights (15 to 25 w) be alrite for flowering,i want a good yield maybe a o or so?

Will be plenty for Vegetative Growth.

 

You will need around 250 HPS if you want to get decent bud when it comes to flowering

You can put as many cfl as you can fit but you're not going to get the light intensity that a HPS will give you. You will get something, bud wise, but it won't have the same bulk in the bud as HPS. You want to use CFL, thats fine, but everybody is telling you the same thing. You could just do your veg with CFL then get a HPS for flower, that would work but you need the intensity and spectrum for a decent flower and nice dense bud.

 

HPS is the way to go.
