Molasses & other flowering nutrients

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

its getting to the time of year when our plants are going to start flowering. i tend to use thrive nutrients throughout there growth and have recently realised this could effect the taste of the buds, so i have decided to only use the thrive through the vegetation process this year. I have heard that molasses could be the way to go during flowering. I was just wondering if anyones tried molasses before and how i would go about applying it to the plants, also if there are any other suggestions of products i could use during flowering would be much appreciated

cheers

organic growers spray dilute molasses onto their ground to raise organic carbon levels. these levels become depleted over time and NPK doesn't restore them. assists growth by assisting bacterial balance in the soil. plants grow better but is not really a 'fertilizer' and I don't know what it would do indoors.

use thrive in combination with organic liquid fertilizer (the old bag of chook poo trick suspended in a drum of water for a week and then use the resulting liquid). outdoors I go: apply one thrive next day one water next day one liquid fertilizer ... and so on. or collect yr pee (what!) and apply it 10:1. high in nutrients. be careful if you do this with seedlings ... they go curly ... still grow good tho'.

i havent used it but bought some other day black strap something like that im useing hydro nutes in soil vegd on fishimolshion an seaweed shit an thout of getting 13/14 pk bout thout might be to much for soil so im going molasses/hydro flower nutes,

if i can remember rite someone said they mix table spoon of it in water can but cant rem the exact amount my water can is 9 L , so im going to see how 2 table spoons goes in 9L ,

hay demistify, from what ive herd i wouldnt go pissing on your plants, ( might not be true ) couple peopl in usa 30 years ago an they got a desease from smoking pot that had been pissd on alot an both got from same dealler didnt now each other but no one else did an after tests an shit they put it down to that an an i think it was like some sortof infection ,

so didnt think that much an few years ago watching some csi or one of them saw prity much same thing , they said something about can couse bad infection but very rare, they did explain it cant remember but it was something to do with amonia saoking in soil something like that but very rare so dont no if true or not but seening that twice in 20 years made me think

thanks Smashed for the warning. haven't heard of this but all should be good if it's your own pee. check out www.ecosanres.org for a world wide move to use pee n poo in the garden cos phosphates and potash are running out. 2050 they reckon. so the way I see it we should just about use the last of our oil reserves to mine the last of our fertiliser! how's that for a major irony? ps. my youngest son grew a plant on top of a shitcan we buried and it was a monster with fine heads. we thought the taste of the buds had a slight shitcan essence about it ... but, we were stoned of course ... and very suggestible. G'day Don. You might like to try a soluble ROSE flowering fert from Growth Technologies in W.A. You can get it at Bunnings, it works well, this is the second year I have used it and have had good results. I got onto the idea of ROSE fert through this site in the cultivation section. Cheers. P.S. The plants are looking very good.
