Plants getting too big

Recommended Posts

Hey all happy Australia day.

Got me a little problem that I could use some guidance if possible. Got a few plants that I planted way to early. I have just moved to the area after living in Cairns for past 30 odd years. I planted around mid september, I am assuming ( going on looks) that I have predominately indicas although all seed is from cairns area so not %100 sure.

How much more growth can I expect before flowering (broad question I know)

I have put some pics up of plants

as of today

As you can see the plants are nearly at fence height (5 feet). I have done 2 major cutbacks on them in the past 2 weeks but they are growing like crazy. I have also tried bending training the branches but only seem to break them and not get a safe bend in them. Any other suggestions as to what to do?

Cheers in advance and will hopefully keep pictures coming until ready to pick.

There is a type of shade cloth (colour brown) that lets a lot of light in, you could build a frame and make it a canopy.

Visit a nursery and ask about it, gotta be a good nursery though.

Fucking nice grow!:applause:

I would be worried about the smell being so close to neighbours.

The shade cloth idea was told to me by a lady at Bunnings. They don't sell it!

Forgot to answer the growth question.

Theoretically it could/would/should double or triple in size. Height wise.

Cheers for the suggestions. I will look at getting shade cloth. Will have to do some serious designing/building to make it look natural looking(sorta/kinda). This should help to promote flowering as well. I cant make it to suss. Neighbour out the back(80+ year old lady) has just sold their house so only need to worry about new owners.

I will be keeping the chook shit up to the rest of the garden and this should mask some of the flowering smell I hope.

hi goodpawn there going to be huge an stink all your neighbours out lol,

had a mate did something like that he got some tin fence panels we cut them in half i held em up against the fence so they stuck up 2 foot he drilled em in it looks abit suss but there going to see (an smell ) them in a few weeks anyway so they might as well see a higher fence an see nothing than see a hundred colas sticking up everywere , an we tipt it all over the top just before the white hairs started showing

still got shitload of buds an prob keept it a lil smaller

just put a few up in the corner or you could try bending them an sortof snap them along the tops but a lot of fuking work

good luck with that monster you got there, next year tie them down from day

just tell the oldys in that house your geting a new dog an it wil jump the corner so you have to build it up a bit couse its to low, then they will know why its there, thats what id be doing

an id be quick bro if the cops do a door knock an there on that front door it looks like theyd be able to see the tops of them plants anyway ??

I have no good advise for you right now. But... after this harvest i would put up lattice and get a fast growing vine with a strong aroma. Grow it all above that fence line. Should stop nosy neighbors, kids jumping over and help hide the smell.

If that was my yard, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night aye.

Good luck man and be safe.
