Is it enough ventilation?

Recommended Posts

I have made a hood with two 250watt MH and one 600watt HPS also has 8 normal cfl fittings in it and i have a 100 mm vent on it will a 100mm inline fan do the trick to vent the heat or do i need more? the room will be about 2/1 meter fresh air coming in threw 100mm duct aswell with inline and normal fan in room?please help?

Now i'm trying not to be rude but i can't really understand what you are saying? Are you going to have all those lights going at once in a room 2m x 1m, with a 100mm inline for your exhaust, a 100mm duct for the inlet and an oscillating fan inside the cab for air movement? If that is the case i would definatley be getting a bigger fan, at least 200mm and proberly a centrifugal one. Plus a general rule of thumb for passive intakes would 3 or 4 times the exhaust size.

Or are you going to have a 100mm inline on the intake aswell? If thats the case you would still be looking at least a pair of 150mm fans.

Anyway trying puting the spec of your setup into this:

Lighting & Ventilation

No thanks that is why i was asking and yes they are all going to be running i have made a hood that has all of them in one with a 100mm inline for exhaust do u think if i change to 150mm centrifugal for constant venting and 250mm for intake with inline will that do the job it will be in one end of a room 2.5m,1m and to the roof, sectioned of with reflective plastic and usind the walls at one end maybe scrog or just sog, probably 8 plants mix cali special, northern lights, great white, super lemon haze, lemon skunk and white rhino what of these would grow best together?

What are the dimensions of this hood?

Whats it made from?

Is it sealed behind glass?

Can you post a pic of it?

:scratchin:

I would think at least 150mm centrifugal fan for the hood. you can get a Y-duct joiner so that this one fan can also extract your room air.

Just do some test runs with a thermometer under the lights.

I would suggest rather than having the CFLs in the hood, have them seperate, lower down around the sides of the plants to feed the lower branches... they wont need the air cooling.
