Why you think i got so many males?

I counted again and I have 4 that i am positive are male, Im going to remove them tommorow when i can see if any others are fem, But i am not absolutly positive that a plant is a Fem yet. It would suck to start throwing away males and then end up that all i had was damn males.

yes it would suck. Some of those may be hermies and not males. I'm not sure, but that last pic you posted sure looked like a hermie to me, which can still produce excellent smoke. If you got mostly hermies, and don't have another grow area to move them too, I'd keep them all in and try to pic off the pollen sacks each day as they appear. At least you will get a decent amount of bud, then if you take clones now, at the end of the grow you can see which are truly females, and start with fresh clones for your next grow.

So take the things that look like seeds off as they grow. And since i have them on a longer night regimen for gendering, Do you think it would be quicker to put them on 10 to 12 hrs of light to flower them and then In 2 months it will be harvest and I will now where the fems are to be cloned. Because the tall ones are 1 1/2 ft away from the max height they can grow in the room I dont think i can go back to veg unless I chopped the tops off.

How did i get hermies?? I bought seeds from seedbank, 5 feminized Haze heaven seeds none sprouted, and 10mix pack 7 sprouted but most look male or hermie. Is it the way i grow or is the seedbank?

Dont keep anything that has balls now, reverse males give nothing to smoke.

 

Kali king. plants are flowered and sexed (gendered as you call it) at 12hrs of light and 12hrs of darkness. Dropping the light below 12hrs of light will decrease the yield by alot.

 

6hrs is really not enough light for cannabis plants to happily survive at all, and any females you have would more or likely have gone hermaphrodite. Sorry to say this harvest will probably be pretty dissapointing, but if your not a heavy smoker you'll get a bit of a smoke out of it.

 

Next time remember, 18 hours on 6 off for vegetative growth, 12 on 12 off to flower the plants.

 

@weekprik, if you start seeds at 12/12 they will show sex at about 20-30cm tall.

How can I tell now if i have any good females that i can clone to start over then if this one will be no good. I am a very heavy smoker and I was going to harvest this grow as soon as possible so I could start over with females, I used all the seeds for this grow. So now i need to clone a female but how do i now if i have a good one to clone? Can i get seeds from this batch and then start over from seed?

I was growing 24hrs light for about a week then went to 18hrs on during vegetavie growth, but a week and a half ago i put lights down to 12hrs on then worked down to 6hrs on which it has been on, today i started to move light cycle back up, eventually going to 12 again.

Is this right.

Take some clones from the female and then flower her, if she turns out good then keep the best clone for a mother, if not then get some more seeds, seeds from an inferior plant will only produce more shit plants, which seedbank did they come from?

read some other posts on this subjest .... there are many posts which have close up pics of fem/herme/male plants also it's best to use a magnifying glass to see the buds up close

If you want seed leave your best looking male in there with a female and flower them. Avoid seeding from a hermie if you can avoid it. For flowering its 12 on, 12 off, thats it. But really, if you got a female that doesn't go hermie, you're probably better off cloning it for a mother plant.

 

If you get seed from hermie it may produce more hermies, but maybe not. May depend on whether that strain you got has a hermie trait or whether you forced them hermie by messing with the light cycle too much.

 

If you're dead set on continuing with what you got all I can suggest is clone the plant you think is a female, if it is then you got a mother and are on your way. If not all you can do is grow out some seed you're gonna make and hope you get a good female.

 

Think of it this way, doing a couple of grows to try and salvage this strain may cost you more than buying new seeds. MJ OZ (Rodwal) sells seeds for $75. One grow cycle may cost you about that, not to mention the wasted time and trouble.

your definately better off cloning that female plant and doing as tazstoner says. fuck wasting time making seeds. Obviously to make seeds will require a female plant, you cant get seeds from male plants.

Almost every single cannabis plant out there has hermy traits, and if stressed will show balls, All female plants have a male just waiting to pop out when the opportunity comes, except for an elite few. like 1 in 1000 or so.

 

Putting your plants at 6 hours of light will most likely have brought out this trait in your plant. That was a pretty serious mistake and I hope it hasn't done you too much damage.

I agree, But dont waste your money on the dutch seeds, you can get good cheap canadian strains for a tenth of the price. Try some federation seeds romulan or titan.

 

I'd start a fresh slate, you have been given much bad advice by your friends in the past, forget all that and start again. We'll help you get it all right this time.

 

Growing pot is pretty easy, but information you've been given has fucked you around.

 

Next time just plant your seeds, grow them by keeping your light on a timer at 18on 6off or 24on, then when your plants are about 1/2 the size you want them to be at when finished set the timer to 12hours on 12hours off remove the male plants, and wait for your buds, feed them straight water to flush out the chemicals at about 6 or 7 weeks of 12/12 and harvest at about 8 or 9 weeks.

 

As for eventually moving the light cycle back up to 12hrs now, I'd do it straight away, a plant cannot live for long on 6hrs a day.
