There needs to be some hardcore hitting research contrasting the use of marijuana with alcohol, then questioning why alcohol is legal whereas marijuana with clearly less deficits is not!

Yes, australian are stuck with the old fasioned and untrue stigma that pot makes you dumb.

Advertising showing that marijuana is not as addictive as even coffee would show the public that marijuana can help treat many problems in our society such as depression, physical pain and stress.

How many people are going to listen though? As someone said earlier, 'sheeple' are so brainwashed these days by our "So trustworthy" government... It shits me that people are so naive and can put so much trust into these people just because they are the 'Government'. Pffff.

Yes it should be done and it will help. Currently we suffer from the fact that a few generations have grown up suffering the 'Big Lie'; it is not unlike apartheid or slavery in America, where ordinary people simply did not think about or question certain assumptions and beliefs. The same with Cannabis - take the time to explain the truth and many people will be amazed at their own ignorance and lack of thought regarding the issue. These moments will often change people point of view from 'Well I guess I just support whatever they (Govt, Media, Vested interests etc) tell me' to a 'Wow, I did not know that and when you put it like that I do think the current laws are wrong'.

 

Everybody can doing something positive for the cause by writing 'pro' letters to papers, calling talkback radio and talking to friends and family . . .

 

My favourite it to just help people on the street when no one else will, you know people broken down, having shopping trolley issues, old ladies crossing the road sort of thing; and whilst helping them out of their predicament you simply casually mention that you've just had a smoke of marijuana and really felt the need to help the person out, noting how sad it is that all the 'straight' people just seem to be rushing about avoiding them. Helped two nuns with a flat tyre in the rain once and had a half-hour conversation with them and they agreed in the end. Although I did have to drop the old pot gets me closer to god rave which is why i help people. Anything for a sale . . .

 

Anyway, yes, Positive Pot Promotion is needed . . .
