Will a plant revert to veg after it begins flowering?

Recommended Posts

So I need to speed up my grow as I'm moving soon. I've constructed an "outdoor dark room" (for the want of a better description) out of a table and some black bags so I can trick my plants into thinking it's 12/12 time.

What I want to know is, if after a couple of weeks of 12/12 the plants start flowering, can I stop putting them in the dark room or will the extra light stop them from flowering?

The seeds I used are White Diesel Feminised Indica X if that makes a difference.

Thanks

id be keeping with the strict 12/12 lighting/darkness regime

also id be hoping in where plants are kept(table)

and seeing if there is any light getting in

cause if there is light getting threw they may not flower

its important to keep the flowering hormone up whilst flowering

that only occurs wen the plant gets 12 hours of uninterupted darkness

all the best

Once you start flowering it is much better to keep them flowering unless you are trying to 'super crop' them, which is the method of starting a plant off flowering then reverting it to vege then flowering again. Makes for super bushy plants.

I have a few plants that had started flowering outside and are now inside and they are as confused as all hell, some flowering, some mongy leaves, some stretching, some not...imo it's not the best way to go but you gotta do what you gotta do.

I would be very careful about the light leeks like billo says, and that the plant isn't sweating it's ass off under all that black plastic.

I don't put them under the plastic till 8pm and it's usually cooled down a fair bit by then so I hope it doesn't sweat them too much.

To answer the OP, yes a plant can start to re-veg once in flowering if it's lighting schedule is mixed up and it gets more than 12hours of light for a few days. Cannabis is a 'short day plant' meaning it relies on the amount of sunlight it gets to determine which stage in its life it its in, by messing around with that you can get a hermaphrodite, which isn't the end of the world, but I'm sure you don't wanna be picking seeds outta your bud when you're smoking like I will be soon :wallbash:

I'm not trying to make enemies on my first day, but Super cropping is a type of low stress training where branches are bent without breaking them to allow more light into the lower canopy, and not when you re-veg. It does help make for a fatter bush like your said though. I've used it a bit on my current grow with some great results

All true however, a plant will continue to flower now as daylight hours are decreasing and will continue to do so till spring, it generally takes ~16hrs of light to cause a plant to reveg so give them a few weeks of light deprivation and you'll be fine, the risk of hermaphodisation should be minimal if you are using quality seed's/clones. This is because you are only messing with their light cycle 2-3 times not repeatedly and in a short time frame.
