Spider mites?

Ive got some tiny black dots on some of my seedlings

 

I just want someone to confirm its spider mites before I go buy some mite rid to tackle them.

 

 

 

The more severe leaf damage was caused by another pest, a tiny grub under the leaf.

I think they are getting sucked in through my air intake.

 

I only had a flyscreen over the intake as a filter,

I need something finer that will block smaller bugs getting sucked in without slowing down airflow too much...

 

Any ideas?

How do you filter your incomming air?

Hey ps,

 

Not spidermites from that pic. They are much smaller and are on the underside of the leaf with the damage showing as pin pricks of discoloration on the top side.

 

Put a stocking over the air intake but clean it semi regular.

The black spots look like caterpillar shit.

I used to get tip moth on mine for a while

Spider mites dont chew big holes in your leaves

if is spider mite the leaves will have a rusty appearance

I saw a little web under one leaf and thought the worst.

 

I just isolated the suspect seedlings and washed the leaves down with warm water for now
