Will this be sufficient for lighting

Heya all ive decided to go with some basic fluro's, as im a poor bastard with no job , i wanna go as cheap as possible.

 

so went down to my local harware store and saw a twin batton fluro holder (small for more stealth) and the lights that go in there are as follows

 

Twin 18w 4000k 590mm

 

ive only got 2 plants in pots/soil.

 

so will this be enough light power to keep em vegging? and possible enough for budding?

 

like i said in my other posts this batch is just a first test for my growing abilities, so i dont really care if the yeild isnt big.

are they the long tube ones?....they are fine for vegging... but dont try to flower under em, absolute waste of time... u can pick up a cheap HPS these days... whats $200 in the grand scheme of things....

compact fluros are a really poor source of light. You can use them to raise up seedlings but I wouldnt' use them for anything more. you are best probably just taking your chances with them to begin with and upgrading to a High intensisty definition when money permits.

 

Either way I hope you get yourself some nice perso, no one likes to buy pot.
