reveging while in bud?

Recommended Posts

Lot of good postings here and info, so I might just barge in....I started my outdoor grow early (SE Qld)and a couple of girls well and truly in bud, but now from the very top they're startin to shoot up, growth wise, like they are re-veging...is that possible? what will happen to the bud that is there? will they continue to mature? is it possible to bud, reveg and bud again?...I haven't done any pinching or pruning, and seeds sprouted early August...

What you're describing is a completely normal occurrence. If you put a plant outdoors too early in the season, it'll start to flower because of the short days/long nights. Indeed, some people do this purposefully. As the days get longer leading up to summer, the plant will begin to reveg.

The buds on the plant now can be harvested (depending how far along they are) or left to their own devices. Eventually the entire plant should reveg and become VERY bushy.

It is entirely possible to bud, reveg and bud again. I started some seeds in early August as well. I harvested some buds off them over a month ago, cut the plant back to some nodes and then let it reveg again.

This way, it's possible to get 2 harvests off the same plant in the one season, albeit your first harvest will be small.

Here's some flicks of the same plant in flower, some buds and after being cut back and revegged.

Hope this helps. :peace:

TY Stoned Again....the plant that is reveging, has buds as big as or bigger than yours ( pic on lhs), and a lot very close to the main stem...and the top 5 inches is all bud, but now with branches starting to shoot out the top....ok, will cut off buds, and cut back a little, and see what happens....

OK, cut off buds a while back and drying nicely, atho the Qld humidity is creating some issues (bud wise)_.....most of the plants have powered on vedging nicely, but two seem to be sitting in stunned silence...no reveging to speak of, and remaining buds I left are unchanged (but not so fat)....
