Plant just hurled over and died? LED

Howdy all!

 

Anybody have any idea why 8 hours ago the plant was fine and then come home this arvo to find that it had just died? it was leaning out of the pot touching ground leaves all curled..yeah gonski's =(

 

There are another3 in there that are fine.

 

Didn't ever intend on growing but this ounce was full of seed one day and just happened to throw them in the garden and the next day there were springing up! Didn't want to go hydro as my power will sky rocket and to small a town here =(

 

Hit ebay up for some LED lights 2 of which pump out 90w of elec which is nice and is also apparently 1 light = 800w HPS. Also Next to no heat which is a massive bonus.

 

The leaves a fat as and sticky?? They stink also, it's as if I can smell hydro in them leaves? I'm hoping this shit is going to be good?

 

I just remembered that i think my bro has been pulling leaves off the plant? Over weeks though? Should he be doing this? Could this have caused the plant to just drop dead?

 

Also there is plant that we have in a pot just outside next to the pool, have only been feeding it water. It is probably ready to harvest in another 2 weeks. Only going to get an ounce maybe 2 off it i reckon? (my first ever home grown LMAO exciting, bush)

 

What i dont get is, this plant outside in the sun is just about ready and it has been growing pretty much the same time as these others in the LED.

 

All though they are 10 x bigger and stink and look mean as compared to, i don't get why they don't appear to have or any time soon want to start flowering? We have for the last few weeks maybe month now started an on off cycle to try to get it going but nudda.

The plants have to be receiving 12 hrs of light or less to flower. That means total darkness - no light leaks.

You should see signs of sex and flowering by about 10 days.

If it went from standing up prowd to flop in a 24hr period it eitherdid what Bundy said or it needed water. did it get that dry ? If it did after a drink it will stand up in 2 - 3 hrs.

About $30 a month to run a 400w HPS and a few fans jayman, maybe you can use the 'unmentionables' for a little Clone/Veg area, something the size of a chest of drawers and put a 400w in a cupboard, you'll be smokin that sweet homegrown in no time if ya do some homework in the cannaversity and Grow diaries sections man. The lights are - in my opinion - good for veging but when you flick to 12/12 i have witnessed plants sheivil up and curl-over al so week - like its is celular collaps!

LED lights apear in practice to be crap for flowering atm but for seedlings and for clones & keepers I recon they work. The plants certainly look greener than green with slow new pail green-growth but something happens when a 12/12 regime is instituted. I think it is an 'intnsity of light problem'. Heat is a good indication to energy release so i guess heatless lights (ie LEDs) aren't dealing with the physics of energy well. May be the LED developers need to revisit & redirect their energy away from spectrum to what this catastropic (celular csollapse) is about. After all it is no good growing crops with the end result being a 'failerd crop' - we would all starve !

 

My advice is to use the LED is to use it 'how it works for you' but if you want some real action you can't beat a HPS - The All Rounder with grunt

I agree with Nitty........

 

If I chuck a few plants under a HPS and then takes some pictures of them with big buds and an LED panel above them can I get people to buy my panels too..... ...... . iatd, read the threads on the forum where the guy was spruiking his wares, nobody is buying this crap.

 

The only people backing him up are Newbs to the forum, which says to me that they are him or his mates.

If it uses 600w ( I think it uses around 720W) does the same job as a 600w HPS and heats the room by 10 degrees.......you might as well keep all that extra money back in ya piggy bank and buy a bloody HPS 600w.

 

I say Scam, disguised as legit grows, but the theory behind it, using multiple wavelengths (colours) and the biggest LED's with the most output available is the way to go. but you don't get something for nothing and now you see that to get the same results these things are pulling just as much power. No benefit, When this changes suprise me. Honestly guys, if you want to check out the future, PLASMA (sulphur) Lights are the next generation. Now let us never speak of these abominations of god again........ . Gh72
