Hows your memory?

My short term memory has been shocking for years before I started smoking. I have a sub arachnoid cyst (small pocket of fluid in my brain) which was found when I was 6 years old, and having my fairly recent skiing crash in which i suffered a severe head injury, so these things probably contribute to my shitty short term memory. I havent been smoking ffor long, and when I do its pretty spread out, so I shall report back when i get baked more often!

Just curious what everyone elses short term memory is like?

 

I started smoking about 2 years ago, i'm 27 now and my short term memory is absolutely shocking, I cannot remember anyones names straight after i meet them, this is especially painful with work colleagues, i have to call everyone 'mate' for the first few weeks then their names usually sink in.

 

My problem is weed is the only thing that i really look forward to, it makes me happy, lets me unwind, but this is all coming at a high price with what it's doing to my memory.

 

I've always had a terrible memory, but it seems to have been getting worse after i've started smoking, now i don't know if that's because i'm just getting older anyway, or a placebo effect, but i'd like to hear what everyone elses memory is like?

i've been smoking for over 30 years and literally met 100s of people.. only time i forgot their name was when they weren't worth remembering, so just called them nothing..

sometimes forget what i got up for but as soon as i have another i remember.. what was i talkinh about

I know exactly what you mean. I've been smoking since 11/12 years old and my short term memory is that of an Alzheimer's patient . It's one of the few frustrating, yet necessary side effects of the "drug," (if that's what you call it). And I, like you, truly look forward to a good smoke. It's unfortunate, but if we want to retain that vice, we must accept the consequences. Boo.

been smoking for 22yrs and my memory is fairly good still...

i`ve had a run on the hard drugs and plenty knocks to the noggn so i dunno if i can blame weed for ANY memory loss

when i used to be hitting the hard drugs, i used to make myself a nip of tea made of dried leaves from the Brahmi Plant

I dunno if it really works ....but it didnt kill mi

The truth be told Cannabinoids do help memory loss which is GREAT! we need to forget just ask a war vet for proof of that.

 

If you want to have a good memory you need to eat right and stop polluting yourselves with bs food products BIG food makes for you.

 

My memory for things unimportant to me wasn't the best and yes pple said it was the "dope" that was to blame.......but...I started a Raw Living food diet and now my memory is GREAT to quite amazing for me even when very stoned. My energy and happiness are greatly effected as well coming from a standard Aussie diet.

Eat organic raw whole food as much as you can and you'll find your whole life changes for the better + you get alot higher on less too stop blaming the buds and start looking after yourself.

Howzit, ive been smoking occasionly since i was 14 but in the last 11 years ive been smoking hard core every day,my short term memory is shocking yet i can remember street names and short cuts to friends houses from when i was a child, im 37 now and i still roll up every day, i prefer to chuff then drink but my sociallizing skills have quieten down since i prefer to smoke at home instead of goin out, as for the memory part i never forget where my stash is or my abillity to grow primo herb..... 420 all day, every day... I get really bad short term memory when I smoke heaps. When it starts to get bad, I usually take a week or so off weed, and it gets better. Then I try and limit myself to smoking as little as possible. Then a mate will ring me up and say "Hey man, just got a quarter and the first 3 seasons of Pokémon. Keen?" and then it all starts again.

isnt memory loss all part of being a pot head? my short term memory? what short term memory i cant remember anything for the life of me but randomly ill pull a random memory out of my head and ill be like what the...

 

especially when im really high i get to out to the living room...hang wtf am i doin out here ohwell walk back to my room oh yeahhhh the plystation thats what i was going to get good laughs

 

i wake up looking forward to a cone, i get home from going anywhere im looking forward to a cone, sometimes when i go out with mates someone always ends up saying oh cant wait to get home to a cone always good to unwind with
