Help Needed From Experienced Bushies

Recommended Posts

Hey guys some people may remember that 90% of my plants last year got smashed by deer. Has anyone got experience fencing these big buggers out?

Anyway, i am open to stealth fencing suggestions

I was thinking netting .9 mm wire 5 cm holes how stealthy is this? i have mucked around in the backyard and it blends in surprising well.

does blood and bone work? i am really confused as to what to do.

I'm assuming it sambar deer your talking about. They are a monster animal and nothing is likely to keep them out unless you go crazy big. I know of a lady who tried everything to keep them out. They got tame because they were living on the edge of town and nothing really worried them. Most got shot under permit which saved her garden.

True wild deer that rarely encounter humans will steer well clear of human scent, but curiosity will get the better of them. The only thing I can think of is the portable electric fences. They are about 250$, and run on a small 6v D or C size battery. Don't be fooled though, I touched one without shoes on and it felt like a kick in the guts! The wire you run around comes in black and would be hard to spot.
