Outdoor Flowering Time?

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

Just wondering what a rough flowering time for outdoor crop would be. When i bought my seeds online (white widow & easy sativa) and it said 8 weeks. As I'm already about 4 weeks into growing and my plants are only about half a foot high and only starting to take off now I'm certain its going to take a lot longer for me.

It'd be good to know how long some of your outdoor grows took to flower.

Cheers.

8 weeks would be the flowering time (growing bud time) not the over all life cycle of the plant, add a few months more for veg growth to.

It will show its sex and start to flower when the daylight hours start to go down.

Hope that helps a little and have a safe grow jimijones :peace:

The times that the seed banks state for flowering are for when they are grown under lights. There really is no time frame for outdoors. It is totally dependant on daylight hours.

as brick said, 8 weeks is average harvest under lights, seed banks sometimes list time frames outdoors but its very open, ie "Harvest early june southern hemisphere" etc

keep poking along she'll be sweet

Your plants will continue to grow vegetatively until the daylight hours decrease enough to trigger your plant into flowering. This will be slightly different depending on your latitude.

At latitude ~30deg South, I've found that my outdoor crops will generally begin flowering in the first week of February. It's a strain dependent thing, but she'll be ready for harvest 8-12 weeks later in mid April.

So yeah, you'll have a while to wait yet.
